what’s your latest obsession?

i’m currently obsessing over my hands, my fingers are in need of a instant update – so I’ve been pinning away, colour, metal, ceramic, signet and wordy rings. my hands need a refresh, I want rings running from my pinkies to my index fingers, I need a jewellery revival. i’m so in love with that thought right now – that even when I read a magazine article or look at an Instagram post i’m drawn to their hands, well fingers and noting whatever is adoring them and instantly adding it to my wish list of pins, screenshots and notes – do you ever get fixated onto a topic and you just can’t look away from it? I am that kind of person, i’m also the kind of person that doesn’t buy something right there and then – when it was in my hands, then instantly regret it – so I’ve learnt that you need to live in the moment, and this current moment for me is ‘rings’ and lots of them. I actually need 25 rings immediatly.

my hands need an update…

I feel like i’m judging people based on the level of rings they have adorning the fingers right now, typically myself and my offering of three – i have noted some of my absolute style faves wear lots of rings – I want a filled jewellery box or a tray of jewels that I can pick from, stack over and on top of each other, sit side by side or wear all at once if want to, as a plethora of finger ornaments. I ordered a ring sizer online to measure my fingers to get started with my new mission. do you ever get the overwhelming need to do something?

I do also know in equal measures that I want the rings and don’t want the rings – does that make any kind of sense at all? I need them now yes, so I don’t have time to build a collection of meaningful rings and that bothers me – because it makes me feel like a victim to fashion and style and i’m not like that – I adore fashion, but not to the level that I would become a slave to it, a victim of it – I am not fashion weak. I have my own style – I go along for the ride with some trends of course I do, but they are always trends that compliment my personal fashion choices, I would never go off on a whim with something that I would deem to be off brand for me. like im even a brand, but you get what I mean! but I have a style, am I now talking myself straight back out of the ring thing?

since my search for the best finger fashion arrangement started i’m now a sitting duck for any form of sponsored ad – and boy does the gram get it right – how? but through it I have been introduced to some really cool brands that i’m thankful for – so that’s a win for me and the algorithm and the cookies and the brands. i’m a happy shopper of a targeted ad – are you?
