a little bit of print clash!

when I glanced at my most recent fashion inspo pins – filed under styling if you fancy a ‘lil nosey, I smiled to myself at the images I’d collated – I was locked into a world of pin after pin that lead me to more and more of the things I like – I love the wonder of those lost 10 mins (probably its more tbh) of just pinning and pinning such glorious images – fully immersed in what started as one single picture from my home page – that quite correctly, as alway Pinterest thought I would like. how wonderful?!

my mind in pins – fur, soft fabric – colours, patterns, prints, rings and things!

leopard print once deemed tacky or trashy depending on who or what you were and who or what was making the observation – but in recent years its become a loved go to print, it is defiantly almost neutral. I pretty much wear it with everything – my leopard fur coat is such a staple of my ever growing coat collection that I do just chuck it on with anything. its become such a staple that during pandemic Britain its also lifted my wintery January walking outfit. my leopard print fur coat, an oversized sweat, black and white leggings and a hunter welly – all cozied underneath a blush fisherman ribbed beanie. you gotta do what you gotta do – am I right? its also now crept out of my closet and into my home – cutting into cowhide, stripes and exotic prints – It lifts and changes the mood of my outfit, my home – my life. now yes that’s extreme – but come on let me be dramatic!

instant brit cool…

its a little bit rock and roll – it brings an instant brit cool style to mind – band tees, tartan, leather, acid wash denim, tough boots – oh that edgy grunge aesthetic. yet in equal measures I’ll easy wear it with sequins, platforms, colour block suits and monochrome it really is the ying to my yang. it gives a little eccentric chicness to an outfit when clashed with all the right things – yet its also a street style statement that i’m always quite willing to return to.
